Parasitism
2025–2026
Wood, electrical components, latex, mirror
Variable dimensions
Wood found in the forest can sometimes evoke, for me, a fragment of the body: incomplete, dead, and alienated. I combine this material with industrial elements in order to transform and circulate forms of energy between the city and the natural environment. These materials become fragments of landscape, approaching a form of eco-technological remnant.
Through their assemblage, I explore a parasitic and metamorphic relationship between industrial activity and the natural world, as well as a potential conflict between technological consequences and living processes. The resulting forms are both allegorical and speculative, situated between natural residue, technological artifact, and an uncertain form of life.
